Pralhad Joshi, minister of Parliamentary Affairs, will meet with floor leaders of political parties in the lok sabha and rajya sabha today. The meeting's goal is to plan the legislative programme and guarantee the smooth operation of parliamentary proceedings during the Winter Session, which is planned to last 15 days until december 22. The meeting is scheduled to be attended by senior bjp figures such as Defence minister Rajnath Singh and Commerce minister Piyush Goyal.
There are now 37 legislation pending in parliament, with 12 planned for consideration and passage and seven set for introduction, consideration, and passage. Three measures to replace colonial-era criminal laws are among them: the indian Penal Code, the Code of criminal Procedure, and the Evidence Act.

Another important law now before parliament concerns the appointment of the chief election commissioner and election commissioners. Despite resistance from the opposition and past top election commissioners, the administration did not press for its adoption during the extraordinary session of Parliament. The measure aims to elevate the status of the CEC and ECs to that of the cabinet secretary. They currently have the status of a supreme court justice.
On the first day of the Winter Session, the Ethics Committee's report on the "cash-for-query" charges levelled against trinamool congress mp mahua moitra will be tabled in Lok Sabha. According to the agenda materials released by the lok sabha Secretariat, Ethics Committee head vinod kumar Sonkar will lay the panel's first report, which was accepted with a 6:4 majority, on the table of the House.
Preneet Kaur, the wife of former punjab Chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh, who is now with the bjp, was among those who supported the story. According to the draught, "serious misbehaviour on the part of mahua moitra calls for severe punishment."

"As a result, the Committee recommends that mahua moitra, mp be expelled from the Seventeenth Lok Sabha." "In light of Mahua Moitra's highly objectionable, unethical, heinous, and criminal conduct, the Committee recommends that the government of india conduct an intensive, legal, institutional inquiry in a timely manner," the report is claimed to have read.
