After Bulli Bai, Telegram channel targeting Hindu women blocked

A Telegram channel that was posting images of Hindu women and assaulting them was closed just days after the Bulli Bai controversy. ashwini Vaishnaw, the Union minister for Electronics and Information technology, said the government was collaborating with'state police authorities for action.' This arose after users on social media complained that a Telegram group was abusing Hindu women by sharing images of them without their consent.

Meanwhile, a probe into the Bulli Bai scandal, in which Muslim women were targeted and their photographs were exploited in a virtual auction, is underway. According to Ministry of Electronics and Information technology (MeiTY) sources, the Bulli Bai app situation is being actively monitored by the indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN). According to ministry sources, CERT-IN is working with GitHub, the delhi police, and the mumbai police on the issue.

Meanwhile, authorities familiar with the situation said the ministry is investigating if GitHub's local coordinators or officials can be summoned to speed up the coordination between the agencies. According to Ministry of Electronics and Information technology (MeiTY) sources, the Bulli Bai app situation is being actively monitored by the indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN).
