Comedian turned Hero Sunil, had been a force to reckon with in his comedian avatar till the early 2000s in Tollywood, and he had played the sidekick evoking instant laughter with his sarcastic and instant punchlines, alongside stars ranging from Megastar Chiranjeevi to Superstar Mahesh Babu.
Though Andala Ramudu success did not force him into
hero
roles, the success of SS Rajamouli's Maryada Ramanna made him look up to hero roles, and while he tasted success with Poola Rangadu, none of his hero attempts tasted success and almost ended his career.After the disastrous Poola Rangadu, Sunil is back on screen this week in Silly Fellows, directed by Bheemineni Srinivasa Rao. Costarring Allari Naresh, this movie is the remake of Tamil hit Velainu Vandhutta Vellakaran and Sunil plays the role played by Soori in the original. Sunil has equal screen space as Naresh and hopes to make an impact as a comedian.
