How to make French Toast Pudding

Ingredients for French Toast Pudding Recipe

  • Bread loaf uncut 1 medium

  • Milk 2 cups

  • Melted butter 2 tablespoons

  • Cinnamon powder to sprinkle

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) ½ cup

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Eggs 4

  • Raisins ¼ cup

  • Icing sugar for dusting

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven at 180° C.

Step 2

Cut the bread loaf into large cubes, place in a baking tray, drizzle butter and sprinkle cinnamon powder and toast in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes.

Step 3

Heat milk in a non-stick pan and bring to a boil.

Step 4

Remove from heat, add castor sugar and vanilla essence and mix.

Step 5

Add eggs, one at time, and whisk well. Strain into a bowl.

Step 6

Spread the toasted bread cubes in a glass baking dish. Pour the milk-egg mixture over, sprinkle raisins and bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes.

Step 7

Dust with icing sugar and serve.
