#BANSTARBUCKS TRENDING - Why Huge Outrage Against Starbucks For Wokeism

G GOWTHAM
India has been quite critical of Starbucks' #ItStartsWithYourName advertising. Many social media users criticised the advertisement, which featured an older couple, for allegedly encouraging sex change. The elderly couple is shown in the advertisement waiting for their son Arpit at a Starbucks location. The son's choice to undergo a sex change has clearly hurt the father.
They are pleasantly delighted, though, when a young girl appears and introduces herself as their son Arpit, who has now changed into a transgender woman named Arpita. In a sweet exchange, the father acknowledges his daughter's choice and promises that she will always be close to him, despite the extra letter in her name. Disgruntled netizens threatened to boycott the company in response to the commercial. A group of persons, largely right-wing activists, who assert to uphold Sanatan dharma traditions and culture, have expressed displeasure over this advertisement.
"Are you in india to do business or to promote wokeism nonsense?" one of these users commented. Another person said, "Unless you want to run a #SexChange propaganda in india, what does selling coffee have to do with gender?" "These Bast*rds are trying to sell their trans religion here in india," an outraged user remarked. Avoid Starbucks at all costs.
