WhatsApp will Stop Working on these Older Android Phones - Check if your phone is on the list
WhatsApp just announced that, starting on october 24, it would stop supporting phones with Android OS versions 4.1 and earlier. "Like other technology businesses, we look at which hardware and software are the oldest and have the fewest users each year to decide what to discontinue maintaining. The official disclaimer on whatsapp faq states that some smartphones "might not also have the most recent security updates or might lack the functionality required to run WhatsApp."
