Elon Musk is now preparing to bring his own social media site. tesla CEO Elon Musk has teased a social media site of his own as a competitor to twitter, amid his ongoing legal battle against Twitter. Responding to a question from one of his followers, Musk made a tweet alluding to a possible new social media platform 'X.com'.
In fact, on Tuesday, a social media user asked the billionaire tech tycoon if he had thought of building his own social platform. Musk, who is quite active on twitter, took note of the question and replied simply by typing "X.com". X.com used to be the domain name of a startup Musk founded two decades ago, which he later merged with financial service PayPal (PayPay).

In fact, Musk also talked about the website during Tesla's annual shareholder meeting last week. Musk reportedly said "I have a great vision for what X Corporation could have had back in the day. It's a very grand vision and, of course, it can be started from scratch." But I think twitter will accelerate in three to five years."
The tweet comes at a time when Musk is embroiled in a legal battle with Twitter. twitter recently sued Musk after he decided to back out from the $44 billion (about Rs 3.5 lakh crore) acquisition deal. In April, Musk entered into an acquisition agreement with twitter for $54.20 (about Rs 4,500) per share in a transaction of about $44 billion.
However, Musk halted the deal in May to allow his team to review the veracity of Twitter's claim that less than 5 percent of accounts on the platform are bots or spam.
In June, Musk openly accused the microblogging website of violating the merger agreement and threatened to shut down the acquisition of the social media company for not providing the data he requested on spam and fake accounts. Musk alleged that twitter is "actively opposing and thwarting their information rights", CNN reported, citing a letter sent to Twitter's head of legal, policy and trust, Vijaya Gadde.
