CSK doors will remain open as long as Dhoni wants..!?
No matter how many more years dhoni wants to play in the IPL series, all those years are for CSK. The team's CEO kasi Viswanathan said that the doors will remain open. Similarly, regarding retention, he said that they have retained both the players shivam dube and Pathirana who have played well in the past seasons. CSK has retained 5 players namely Ruturaj Gaikwad, ravindra Jadeja, shivam dube, Pathirana, and Dhoni. The CSK team has spent Rs 65 crore in purse for this. As a result, the CSK team has to meet the mega auction to be held on the 24th and 25th with Rs.55 crores.
So we thought he should continue in the CSK team. Lastly, Pathirana is a man who can contribute immensely to whichever team he goes to. So we retained him. While paying huge amounts to these 4 players, we knew very well that the mega auction would not be enough. Because a lot of quality indian players are coming in the mega auction. We acted knowing that there would be no purse money to buy the best players among them. But we are sure to get some quality players in the mega auction. As for dhoni, he always makes his decision at the last moment. He has already said that his last match will be at chepauk Stadium. But he said that as long as the CSK team wants and as long as dhoni wants to play, the doors of the chennai team will remain open.
