Sanju Samson was not out in the replay..!?

In the 2024 IPL series between delhi Capitals and rajasthan Royals, a big controversy erupted over Sanju Samson's wicket. Batting first in this match, delhi Capitals scored 221 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. rajasthan Royals chased down a tough target of 222. The captain of the team, sanju samson played an action game and added 86 runs in 45 balls. Then sanju samson tried to hit a six off the fourth ball of the 16th over. The ball went into the hands of Shai Hope who was standing on the boundary. Shai Hope catches the ball and stumbles. He moved every step without his feet touching the boundary line. Then the tip of his shoe lightly brushed the boundary line.

However, he managed and thought he had taken the catch. The on-field umpire asked the third umpire to review it. While the third umpire was watching the replay, it was seen that Shai Hope's shoe slightly rubbed the boundary line. Without seeing the replay clearly, he declared the third name immediately after seeing it only once.

But all the fans who saw the scene live said it was not an out, it was a six. However, the umpire gave out. sanju samson, who was shocked to see it, appealed to the umpires on the field saying, "It's not out." He also asked if this could be reviewed again. But he was denied that opportunity as the deadline for that was over. Taking this, sanju samson left the pitch with great disappointment after scoring 86 runs. This also led to the defeat of rajasthan Royals. Due to this incident, the fans criticized the umpires in the IPL series for not working properly.
