India Ready To Host 2036 Olympics, Roadmap ready...!

india will bid to host the olympic games in 2036. Union sports minister anurag thakur has said that a roadmap will be presented before the full members of the ioc during the session of the international Olympic Committee (IOC) in mumbai in september 2023.

The Union minister said that india had earlier hosted the 1982 Asian Games and the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the next stop would be the Summer Olympics.
The sports minister said- If india can host the G20 Presidency on such a large scale, I am sure the government will be able to host the olympics in the country along with the IOA. We all know that till 2032 the slots are booked but from 2036 onwards we have hopes and I am sure india will prepare and bid for olympics thoroughly.
When asked whether india is ready to host the olympics in 2036, Thakur said- Yes, india is ready to bid positively for it. If india is making so much effort to promote sports, I assure you that we will not just host the olympics, we will do it in a big way. If india is making headlines in every field from manufacturing to services then why not in sports?
He said- Yes, we can present the roadmap to them (IOC members) by that time (September 2023). The ioc session is a prestigious event for india and the government will support whatever steps it takes to bid adieu to the IOA.
He said- gujarat has expressed its desire to host the olympics many times.They are serious about bidding. It is also part of the state government's manifesto for hosting the olympics in Gujarat.
