When Vijay launched his party in Vikravandi, I listened to his vision and thought — finally, here’s someone who could be a real alternative to AIADMK. I even put it up as my whatsapp status. people were surprised, asked questions, and even joked about it. My answer was simple: I don’t oppose individuals, I question ideologies. That felt fair at the time.
THE SHIFT (Reality Check That Changed Everything):
As time passed, that early optimism started fading. The man who was expected to challenge AIADMK began showing patterns that felt uncomfortably similar to the very political culture he was supposed to replace.
On critical issues — law and order failures, sensitive incidents, even high-profile controversies — there was a noticeable absence. No strong stand, no accountability, just careful distancing.
What stood out even more was the selective tone. When it comes to DMK, names are taken directly, and accusations are sharp and personal. But when it comes to the BJP, there’s hesitation — a visible reluctance to even name them outright.
The messaging often feels calculated: avoid direct confrontation where it matters, shift narratives, and place responsibility elsewhere. It raises a bigger question — is this leadership, or just political positioning?
Over time, it stopped feeling like independent politics and started looking like something influenced from behind the scenes. That’s when I began speaking out — not emotionally, but with facts.
