Can Jagan ever recover from the shock defeat?
Right after the results of MLC elections in which TDP made clean sweep, many are now discussing whether Jagan,leader of the opposition,YSRCP president can ever recover from the shock defeat.
Jagan's YSRCP lost in its strongholds like Kadapa. In a huge setback his party has not only lost three MLC seats under the MLA quota in AP, but has suffered a humiliating defeat on his home turf where TD candidate BTech Ravi won against YSR’s brother Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.
Sources indicate cross voting reduced TDP's margin of victory in all these places. Jagan instead of analysing the failure of his party started daring Chandra Babu asking him to go for fresh elections.
He accused Chandra Babu of purchasing MPTCs and ZPTCs for Rs 20-30 lakh after saying that he would accept the result of the elections as a referendum.
