Union Defence minister Rajnath Singh expressed strong condemnation of the delhi blast near the red Fort that occurred on monday evening.

He extended heartfelt condolences to the families of the 12 victims who lost their lives and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

Singh emphadata-sized the government’s determination to ensure justice, declaring that “those responsible will not be spared under any circumstances.”

He assured that India’s top investigative agencies are conducting a swift, detailed, and coordinated probe into the high-intensity explosion.

Speaking at the delhi Defence Dialogue hosted by the manohar parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses (MP-IDSA), he noted that the investigation findings will be made public soon.

Singh reaffirmed the government's unwavering commitment: every individual involved in orchestrating the tragedy will be identified and brought to justice.

High-Level Security review Led by amit Shah

The review focused on assessing the current threat landscape and coordinating investigative efforts across multiple agencies.

Nature of the Blast & Ongoing Investigation

Preliminary assessments suggest the explosion may have been a fidayeen-style attack, potentially involving a suicide-attack plan that was altered at the last moment.

Police believe the assailant changed strategy after a terror module in faridabad was busted, opting instead for a moving-vehicle detonation near red Fort to maximize casualties.

Authorities are examining whether the intended target was different, as the blast took place while the car was moving slowly.

Investigators are probing possible links to the explosives recovered earlier in Faridabad—360 kg of explosive materials and ammunition—with suspects Dr Muzammil and Aadil Rather already arrested.

Chemical and logistical analyses are underway to determine connections between both incidents.
