Sharad Pawar calls local train accident unfortunate
NCP Sharadchandra Pawar president sharad pawar on monday (June 9) called the death of passengers after falling from a local train unfortunate. He has also appealed to the Central Railway administration to implement measures like installing automatic doors in local trains in view of the crowd.
In fact, at least four passengers lost their lives and six passengers were injured after falling from a moving train in thane district of maharashtra on monday (June 9) morning. The accident took place between Diva and Kopar railway stations when a train full of passengers was going to Kasara. The incident was probably caused by passengers hanging from the footboard of two crowded trains and their bags colliding with each other as the trains were passing in opposite directions.
'Number of trains should be increased'Regarding this accident, sharad pawar wrote on his X handle, "Central Railway should prepare the timetable well and accordingly increase the number of local trains on important routes. Necessary measures should be implemented immediately for the safety of passengers. The decision to install automatic doors in local trains to prevent such accidents is expected to be implemented on time." He said that some passengers are being treated in the hospital. I pray that their health improves soon.
It is not right to blame the passengers - Pawar
The former chief minister of maharashtra said, "On an average, six to seven passengers die every day after falling from local trains on the Central Railway network. It is well known that the increasing crowd in local trains is the main reason for this. It is not right to blame the passengers for their death after such accidents. The Central Railway administration should take this unfortunate incident seriously."
