Lok Sabha Speaker om birla said, 'MLA is not of his area but...'?
A two-day Prabodhan program was organized for the newly elected MLAs in the delhi assembly on tuesday (March 18). The program was inaugurated by lok sabha Speaker Om Birla. All seven MPs of delhi were invited to the event. During the program, lok sabha Speaker om birla addressed the MLAs and said, "Delhi is a capital where diversity of different languages, cultures and traditions is seen. It is the responsibility of the public representatives here to understand the expectations of the people and work for their development and social welfare." He emphadata-sized that MLAs do not only represent their assembly, but they are the voice of the people of the entire state.

Senior member of the assembly Vijender Gupta, while addressing the newly-elected MLAs, said that the delhi assembly has a rich history, which is different and special compared to other assemblies of the country. He advised the MLAs to rise above their personal identity and play their role in the house keeping in mind their public image.
