He has said that CAG has revealed serious flaws in the health services of the capital. During the tenure of the previous government, the health of Delhiites was played with by ignoring health services, which is shameful for humanity.

Important points of the CAG report related to Delhi's health services

Lack of basic facilities in Mohalla clinics

According to the CAG report, out of the 218 Mohalla clinics inspected, 41 remained closed for 15 to 23 days in a month due to lack of doctors and staff being on leave. Apart from this, many clinics were found to lack toilets, electricity, examination tables and facilities for the disabled.

Severe shortage of beds in hospitals

Between 2016-17 and 2020-21, the delhi government had promised to add 32 thousand new beds, but only 1,357 beds were added, which is only 4.24 percent of the total target. In many hospitals, bed occupancy ranged from 101 percent to 189 percent, due to which patients had to be treated on the floor.

Covid-19 funds not used properly

The CAG report revealed that out of Rs 787.91 crore released by the central government, only Rs 582.84 crore was used, leading to a shortage of essential resources during the pandemic.
