'CM should not mislead people'
Manoj Jarange said on wednesday night, "I have decided to withdraw the fast on thursday, as I have decided to adopt a different strategy to move forward. The government should clarify whether it intends to give reservation to the maratha community." Manoj Jarange accused chief minister devendra fadnavis of misleading the maratha community. He said, "I had asked fadnavis to clarify his stand by evening but he remained silent. My fast was to expose who actually supports the issue and who does not." maratha reservation activist Jarange said, "I will not let the chief minister sit in peace. The maratha community now knows who is at fault. After coming to power, fadnavis betrayed the Marathas and kept quiet on the reservation issue but I will not leave him." According to maharashtra officials, earlier in the day, he had refused to take intravenous fluids despite repeated requests. His health deteriorated on the fifth day of the fast. Manoj Jarange had agreed to consume some water on monday night on the request of locals. He had also agreed to drink water on tuesday after a request from Santosh Deshmukh's family.
