After the expansion of the cabinet in maharashtra, deputy cm and Housing minister Eknath Shinde took stock of his department. In this meeting, there was a discussion about the housing of Mumbaikars. Dharavi Redevelopment is the biggest project of the Housing Department. There have been many controversies regarding this project, but Eknath Shinde, while taking a meeting of the Housing Department, assured that a review should be done to give houses to ineligible slum dwellers. There are more than 60 thousand eligible slum dwellers in Dharavi before the year 2007. Currently, the number of unauthorized slum dwellers has reached more than 1 lakh. Eknath Shinde held a meeting to give houses to all of them.

After this, the deputy cm ordered to work to give houses to everyone during the tenure of the Mahayuti government. He said that positive things about the development of Dharavi should reach the people. The opposition has repeatedly made false allegations about the redevelopment project. Therefore, everyone has to be aware.

The housing department is a matter of the heart of the people. home is everyone's dream. Simplify the process for getting a house in MHADA, SRA. people should not data-face any problem. For this, make as many processes as possible online. Officers should work actively. This is a government of the common people. I want to do concrete work for the common people.

The issue was raised in the assembly elections

The MVA alliance had exploited the Dharavi redevelopment issue during the maharashtra elections. During this time, MVA tried to corner the then Shinde government against giving the project to adani for redevelopment of Dharavi. However, MVA did not succeed in the assembly elections.
