Devotees flock to Chardham Yatra amid bad weather!
The attraction of winter Chardham yatra is increasing rapidly in Uttarakhand. After the end of summer Chardham yatra, devotees are very enthusiastic about the winter Chardham Yatra. Despite the weather challenges, 14 thousand 406 devotees have visited these Dhams so far.
Due to recent rain and snowfall, there have been some difficulties in the journey, but the uttarakhand Disaster Management Department has issued an advisory to make the journey smooth and safe. According to the report of the Disaster Management Department, 767 devotees visited Chardham in the last 24 hours. Of these, 357 devotees have come to Pandukeshwar, 395 to Omkareshwar, 13 to Mukhwa and 2 devotees to Kharsali for darshan and worship.
Crowd of faith
The winter yatra started on november 4 at Kharsali, the winter residence of Yamunotri Dham. So far 606 devotees have visited here. The pilgrimage started from november 4 at Mukhwa, the place of stay of Gangotri Dham, where so far 3 thousand 96 devotees have visited.
After this, from november 24, darshan started at Omkareshwar temple, the winter residence of kedarnath Dham, where so far 5 thousand 964 devotees have reached. The pilgrimage started at Pandukeshwar, the winter residence of badrinath Dham, on december 9 and so far 4 thousand 770 devotees have visited here.
Advisory for devotees
The Disaster Management Department has issued a detailed advisory to ensure the safety of the devotees. It has suggested measures to deal with health, weather and emergency situations during the journey. There is a risk of problems like high altitude sickness in high altitude areas during winter travel. The department has advised to get a health check-up done and consult a doctor before going on the journey.
