Delhi has slight rain, anticipated more today
Reportedly the ups and downs in the weather of Delhi-NCR continue. The IMD has predicted rain in the national capital during the next three days. The Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert for rain and fog. Meteorologists have told the people of delhi that there is a need to be cautious about the cold in view of the possibility of cold wave. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature in delhi is forecast to be 9 degrees on wednesday (December 25). While the maximum temperature is likely to be 22 degrees. There is little chance of a decrease in temperature till december 30.
Perhaps strong winds will also blow during this time. However, people are likely to get some relief from the cold by december 30. During this time the minimum temperature is likely to be between 8 to 12 degrees. Moreover some parts of delhi received rain on tuesday evening and the day temperature was slightly above normal. Many areas of central, south and east delhi received rain in the evening. The maximum temperature was recorded at 20.8 degrees Celsius, which is above the normal temperature of this season. The minimum temperature was recorded at 9.9, which is 2.4 degrees above normal. Out of 37 monitoring stations, two (Mundka and Nehru Nagar) recorded air quality in the 'severe' category, while 32 recorded it in the 'very poor' category and the rest in the 'poor' category.
Moreover the pollution level in delhi was recorded in the very poor category on wednesday morning. The highest AQI was recorded at 359 in rohini and 355 in Sainik Farm. AQI is in the very poor category in most areas of Delhi. However, pollution has partially decreased today compared to Tuesday. The air quality of the city has improved marginally. The air quality index in delhi was recorded at 358 at 7 pm, which was 398 in the morning. Still it falls in the 'very poor' category. AQI between zero to 50 is considered 'good', between 51 to 100 'satisfactory', between 101 to 200 'moderate', between 201 to 300 'poor', between 301 to 400 'very poor' and between 401 to 500 'severe'. According to IMD, the humidity level in delhi was recorded between 100 to 73 percent during the day.
