According to sources, Ishrat Jahan and Ariba Asif Khan are in the race for the ticket. congress can give ticket to either of these two from Okhla and can field them against AAP leader Amanatullah Khan.

Talking about Ishrat Jahan, she is an accused in the delhi riots. But she belongs to a political family. Ishrat Jahan is the daughter-in-law of senior congress leader Parvez Hashmi, former mla and rajya sabha MP from Okhla seat. congress had given ticket to Parvez Hashmi in the 2020 elections. Ishrat was arrested on charges of North east delhi riots in 2020. According to sources, rahul gandhi advocated for Ishrat's name in the congress Central election Committee meeting on Tuesday.

On the other hand, there is Ariba Khan, who is the daughter of former congress mla Mohammad Asif Khan. In 2015, congress had given ticket to Asif Mohammad Khan and he stood third. Ariba is currently also a congress corporator from Jamia nagar (ward number 188).
