SP MLA's son Suhail reacted to Sambhal violence?
Sohail, son of Samajwadi party mla Iqbal Mahmood, who was accused in the violence that took place during the survey on november 24 at Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal, has reacted to the allegations against him. While talking to ABP News, Sohail said that "When the first survey was done on the 19th, I was in the village. I came to know that DM sahab etc. are reaching Jama Masjid in a hurry to conduct the survey. When I came to know, I immediately left from there and it took me half an hour more to reach Jama Masjid.
When the survey was done during the day on the 19th, there was no crowd. On where did so much crowd come from on the 24th, Sohail said that, I told you that the area is densely populated and there are very dense streets, people live in front of Jama Masjid. As these things were being trolled from the 19th, Jama Masjid namaz is connected to the heart of every Muslim who has faith and has read Kalma, so it is natural for crowd to gather there. There is a market nearby, so people come and go, what is surprising in this.
Why was the name included in the FIR?
On how the name came in the FIR, he said that, now you can ask this from them. Sir, you are saying that you were cooperating, the administration is saying that you were instigating the crowd. There can be misunderstanding, sometimes things become a victim of misunderstanding. We always work as a middle link. If our father is an mla for 35 years today and my grandfather was an mla before that, then the reason for that is that we always worked as a middle link. We never worked to become rulers.
He said that, if we were asked for help, we would have been there. It was said that it is your responsibility, it is the responsibility of the Ulema. If the police had given us the responsibility, we would have talked. When he was asked that, the administration did not approach you, so why did you leave the crowd at the mercy of God? On this he said that, this is not our character and our conscience will never allow it. I have to stay in Sambhal, the officers do not have to stay there. I would not want that there should be something inside this house which makes my stay difficult.
