RJD loses in Belagnj, its 34-year-old stronghold, big reason?
Before the bihar assembly elections of 2025, the results of the by-elections held on four seats in bihar have come on saturday (23 November). The four seats on which elections have been held are Belagnj, Imamganj, Ramgarh and Tarari assembly seats. After becoming an mp from Jehanabad in the 2024 lok sabha elections, RJD gave ticket to Surendra Yadav's son Vishwanath Yadav, but the son failed to save his father's seat and lost the election by about 8000 votes. JDU has always been fighting on Belagnj seat, but JDU never got success, but this time chief minister Nitish Kumar's party Janata Dal United has hoisted the flag of victory in Belagnj and manorama Devi has become the mla of Belagnj area.
Losing Belagnj election is a big challenge for Lalu prasad Yadav and Tejashwi Yadav as well as a big setback for Surendra Yadav. If the equation of Belagnj is understood, the main reason for Surendra Yadav winning continuously from here was that Lalu prasad Yadav's MY equation has been effective. There are about 15 to 16% voters in Belagnj, while there are more than 16% Muslim voters.
