Hemant Soren filed nomination from Barhet!!!
jharkhand cm hemant Soren filed his nomination from Barhet assembly seat today (24 October). Tomorrow is the last date for filing nomination in Jharkhand. Many JMM candidates have filed nominations today, including hemant Soren's wife Kalpana Soren. He has filed nomination from Gandey.
A day before filing nominations, hemant Soren and Kalpana Soren took blessings from Shibu Soren on october 24 and also met other family members. 49-year-old hemant Soren has taken oath as cm three times in Jharkhand. He has been an mla from Barhet since 2014.
hemant Soren took oath as cm of jharkhand for the first time in July 2013. He again took oath as cm for the second time in 2019 when the Mahagathbandhan government was formed. However, in january this year, he was arrested by the ED in a money laundering case related to the land scam. Due to which he had to resign. However, hemant got bail from the High Court, after which he again took oath as cm on July 4.
Hemant's performance so far in Barhet
hemant Soren defeated BJP's Simon Malto from Barhet in 2019. hemant got 73,725 votes while Simon got 47,985 votes. In 2014, hemant was pitted against Hemlal Murmu. hemant got 62,515 votes while Hemlal stood second and 38,428 votes were cast in his support.
The last date for filing nomination in jharkhand is october 25. Here the nomination papers will be scrutinized on october 28, while the nomination papers can be withdrawn till october 30. elections for all 81 seats here will be held on november 13 and the results will be declared on november 23.
