He canceled several orders under which powers were handed over to the Administrative Council headed by the Lieutenant governor for the governance of the Union Territory. According to a statement issued by the omar abdullah government, some government orders started in the year 2020 have been withdrawn. The order to cancel them was issued by sanjeev Verma, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department.
Perhaps in his order, Commissioner Secretary, General Administration Department, sanjeev Verma said, "The new government Order No. 808-JK (GAD) 2020 dated 01.09.2020, government Order No. 809-JK (GAD) 2020 dated 01.09.2020, government Order No. 810-JK (GAD) 2020 dated 01.09.2020 and government Order No. 811-JK (GAD) 2020 dated 01.09.2020, with any modifications, alterations or additions thereto, are hereby repealed with effect from time to time."

He has said that no green corridor should be made for him while going by road. omar abdullah wrote in his post on Instagram, "I have talked to the DG that no green corridor should be made or traffic should not be stopped when I go anywhere by road. I have instructed him to reduce the inconvenience to the people and minimize the use of sirens."
