Delhi govt will give discount on buying new vehicle!!!
The delhi government has taken a big step towards scrapping old vehicles that have completed their time. In this direction, the delhi government will now give exemption on 'Motor Vehicle Tax' to Delhiites on the purchase of new vehicles on getting their old vehicles scrapped. This scheme has been approved by chief minister Atishi and a notification will be issued regarding this very soon. Actually, under this scheme, people will get exemption in Motor Vehicle Tax on depositing the 'Certificate of Deposit' (COD) of the old scrapped vehicle in the registered vehicle scrapping facility during the registration of new commercial and non-commercial vehicles.
How much discount will be available?
Under this offer of the delhi government, there will be a 20 percent discount on Motor Vehicle Tax on registration of new non-transport petrol/CNG/LPG driven vehicles and 15 percent discount for such diesel driven vehicles.
CoD will be valid for 3 years
Along with this, petrol/CNG/LPG driven vehicles used for transport (commercial) will be given 15 percent discount in motor vehicle tax and 10 percent discount for such new diesel driven vehicles. It is worth noting that the 'Certificate of Deposit' (COD) will be valid for three years after its issuance. This scheme has been approved by chief minister Atishi and it will be notified very soon.
