maharashtra assembly elections are to be held at the end of this year, but even before that the political temperature of the state is high. All the parties are busy calculating their seats. Meanwhile, Union minister ramdas athawale presented his claim for seats in the Mahayuti.
ramdas athawale said on sunday that his party RPI (A), which is part of the ruling Mahayuti, should get a chance to contest at least 10 to 12 seats in the upcoming maharashtra assembly elections. Addressing a press conference in Nagpur, Athawale said that RPI (A) will contest the elections on its party symbol and will demand three to four seats in Vidarbha, which include North Nagpur, Umred (Nagpur), Umrakhed in Yavatmal and Washim.
Will share list with Mahayuti
The Union minister further said, "RPI (A) has made a list of 18 probable seats, which it will share with Mahayuti allies in a few days and it is expected to get at least 10 to 12 seats in the seat sharing agreement." He said that BJP, shiv sena and ncp should give four seats each to his party from their quota.
RPI A is included in NDA
The republican party of india is a part of the Mahayuti alliance, which includes BJP, shiv sena led by chief minister Eknath Shinde and Ajit Pawar's NCP.
'Ministerial posts should be given in Eknath Shinde government'
ramdas athawale had also recently said that his party should also get ministerial posts in the Eknath Shinde government of Maharashtra. Apart from this, ramdas athawale had claimed that the ruling Mahayuti alliance will win 150-160 out of 288 assembly seats in the state in the upcoming elections.
