chief minister nitish kumar gave necessary instructions to the officials in a high-level review meeting of the home Department on saturday at his official residence 'Sankalp' at Ek Ane Marg in patna and said that the police and administration should work diligently to maintain law and order and take strict action to control crime. Highlighting the reduction in crime related to land dispute, nitish kumar said, 'Earlier more than 60 percent of crimes were due to land dispute. Now it has come down to 46.69 percent. The government has started a special aerial survey and land settlement campaign across the state to reduce land disputes, which should be completed soon.'
'Control over crime is the government's priority'
chief minister nitish kumar said that controlling crime is the top priority of the state government and there should be no laxity in this. During the review meeting of the home Department, the chief minister emphadata-sized that the rule of law is the 'top priority' of the national democratic alliance government. According to a statement from the Chief Minister's office (CMO), Kumar said, 'The government will not compromise on law and order and strict action will be taken against negligent policemen'.
The cm directed the police officers to increase night patrolling and urged senior officers to conduct regular inspections in their respective areas.

The chief minister also ordered action against organized criminal gangs and emphadata-sized the need to take necessary measures in this regard. He also announced the creation of 2,29,139 new posts in various categories in the state police to further improve law and order. He said that at present about 1,06,436 police personnel are serving and efforts are on to fill the remaining vacancies. The cm said, 'About 30,000 women are working in bihar police, which is the highest for any state in India. We have ensured 35 per cent reservation for women in the police force and other services of the state government.
