1452 Cr For AP Villages, Undoing Damage Of Jagan
During its time, the ycp administration gave the panchayats zero attention. The state government's intended to receive stamp duty, per capita income, and sewage costs were not released. Furthermore, the administration of jagan misappropriated Rs. 5,500 crores that were provided by the Union administration's 14th and 15th Finance Commissions. As a result, panchayat work on everything from drinking water to roads halted.
A number of sarpanches protested against jagan for misusing panchayat funding, but their demonstrations were ineffective. The second phase of panchayat development received funding from the national government in the amount of Rs. 998 crore in 2023–2024. These money were also not released by the ycp administration. The coalition administration disbursed Rs. 998 crore for Zilla Parishads, Mandals, and Panchayats throughout the state, as pledged during the elections. In addition, an additional Rs. 454 crore was made available for the advancement of nagar Panchayats, municipalities, and corporate entities.
