Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia won from Guna seat in the lok sabha elections, after which his rajya sabha seat became vacant. To fill this seat, the election program has been announced through the election Commission. Under this, nomination papers will be filled for rajya sabha elections till august 21. Voting for this will be held on september 3. Today i.e. monday (August 19) is a holiday under the Negotiable Instrumental Act, due to which nomination forms will not be submitted today.


Rajya Sabha election schedule


Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan said that nomination papers will be filled for rajya sabha elections in the state till august 21. Anupam Rajan said that the notification regarding rajya sabha elections has been issued on august 7 through the election commission of India. The nomination process for rajya sabha elections in the state has started from august 14, which will continue till august 21. Anupam Rajan said that the nomination papers will be reviewed on august 22. Voting will be held on september 3 from 9 am to 4 pm and the counting of votes and the result will be announced on the same day.


Eyes on amit Shah's promise


After Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia became an mp from Guna parliamentary seat, elections are to be held for the rajya sabha seat vacated by him. At present, this is the only seat vacant in the state, there are many contenders for it. In such a situation, it is believed that Union minister amit Shah's promise from bjp will be fulfilled or someone else will get the chance. During the lok sabha elections, Union minister amit shah had publicly promised from the stage that he would take KP Yadav to Delhi. Since now the rajya sabha seat has been vacated through Union minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, now there is a discussion in the political corridors whether Union minister amit shah will keep his promise?


Many bjp leaders are contenders


Other bjp leaders are also dreaming of becoming members from the vacant rajya sabha seat. Former ministers Narottam Mishra and Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya are also in the queue. Former minister Narottam Mishra lost the assembly elections from Datia. Despite the defeat, Narottam Mishra is fully active. bjp entrusted him with the command of Operation Lotus, on which he also proved to be true. Similarly, Jaibhan Singh Pawaiya is also hopeful from this seat.

Similarly, A ashok Singh is a rajya sabha member from congress, his term is from 3 april 2024 to 2 april 2023. While the tenure of BJP's Kavita Party, sumitra Balmiki and Congress' vivek Tankha is from 30 june 2022 to 29 june 2028. The tenure of Sumer Singh Solanki from bjp and Digvijay Singh from congress will be from 22 june 2020 to 21 june 2026.
