TDP, Janasena, and bjp which came as an alliance in andhra pradesh state have won a huge victory and assumed power. Even though the previous ruling party defeated the ycp and got a huge victory. However, there are many reasons for the alliance to come to power and Jagan's defeat, one of the main reasons being Jagan's sister Sharmila's entry into ap politics and criticizing Jagan. Jaganmohan Reddy, the president of the ycp congress, was arrested by the cbi before the by-elections for allegedly having illegal assets. In this background, in an attempt to bring the party closer to the people, they took up the padayatra in the name of another public establishment to infuse enthusiasm and strengthen the party ranks. She took the campaign responsibilities on behalf of Anna Jaganmohan Reddy, the president of that party, and approached the people more. He started making political criticisms. As a part of that, he entered politics in ap and joined the congress even though his father was a YSRCP party. Since then, the main opposition party in ap criticized jagan more than tdp and became the reason for the defeat of Jagan's government in this election.
