Maximum 72 deaths have occurred in varanasi, the lok sabha seat of prime minister Narendra Modi, who is facing voting on Saturday, and its surrounding districts. 15 people deployed on election duty in Mirzapur and Sonbhadra districts of UP have died a day before voting on Saturday. Apart from the death of 2 polling staff in Sonbhadra district, 9 employees have been admitted to the hospital due to heat stroke. 13 election workers have died due to heatstroke in Mirzapur district.

Temperature in kanpur was 48 degrees

According to the indian Meteorological Department (IMD), kanpur has been the hottest in UP, where a temperature of 48.2 degrees has been recorded. 47.8 degrees Celsius has been recorded in Sirsa, haryana and 47 degrees Celsius in Delhi.

Power crisis increased trouble in UP

Power crisis in Uttar Pradesh has also increased the trouble of people in the terrible heat. There are frequent power cuts in almost all the cities. The reason for these power cuts due to overloading is believed to be the sudden increase in the demand for electricity due to heat. 14 people die again in Bihar

14 people died due to heat stroke in bihar on Friday, while 5 people died in odisha and 4 in Jharkhand. According to officials, 1,300 people in jharkhand had to be hospitalized due to heat stroke.
