Reservation on socio-economic basis canceled in Haryana...

The provision of giving additional 5 marks in government jobs in haryana has been abolished. The Punjab-Haryana high court gave an important decision on friday (31 May). The court has declared reservation on socio-economic basis unconstitutional. Now the reaction of former cm of the state manohar lal khattar has come to the fore on this decision of the High Court.

Former cm manohar lal khattar  on his social media handle 'X' that "We had started with the resolution of Antyodaya and to fulfill this resolution, a plan was made to give additional 5 marks to the economically backward and weaker sections of the society, which has been canceled by the High Court." He further said that "The law has its own process and limits but this fight to fulfill the resolution of Antyodaya will continue. I assure all those poor, weak and widowed mothers and sisters of the haryana family who had benefited from this scheme, we are always standing with them and will always stand with them to get them justice."

What did the cm say?

At the same time, chief minister Naib Singh saini also  on X that "An ambitious scheme of giving additional 5 marks to bring forward the poor, weak and deprived sections of the society was made by the haryana government. Against which the high court gave a decision and it was cancelled. As the haryana government, we will continue this fight under constitutional and legal processes and will appeal to the Honorable supreme Court. The haryana government will continue to fight this battle to get justice to the poor, weak and deprived till the last option."
