Delhi Water Crisis: In view of the water crisis in delhi, ADM and SDM level officers will be deployed in 11 water areas from june 5. The government has also issued the number 1916 for the requirement of tankers.

The country's capital delhi has been battling severe heat as well as water shortage for the last few days. Water supply (Delhi Water Crisis) is not being done in many areas. The aam aadmi party (AAP) government of delhi has blamed haryana for this. Water minister Atishi said that we will approach the supreme court against haryana not releasing the capital's share of water.

Atishi said in a press conference that an emergency is about to knock in Delhi. She also announced to take some emergency steps to deal with the crisis. The delhi government minister said that we will go to the supreme court against haryana not releasing Delhi's share of water. Central water tanker control rooms are being set up in the delhi Jal Board and an indian Administrative service (IAS) officer will monitor it.

Order tankers by calling this number

He said, 'There will be a central command and control room and people will have to make a phone call to 1916 if they need a water tanker. This water tanker control room will inform the water tanker control room about the call. From june 5, ADM and SDM level officers will be deployed in 11 water areas of Delhi. They will assess the situation of water shortage areas and install water tankers at those places.'


If water is wasted, challan will be issued

Atishi said that apart from this, teams will be formed in the electricity department of delhi Jal Board, which will work round the clock to resolve complaints related to borewells. A team of 200 members will work under the IAS officer to curb water wastage and issue challans. The use of potable water will be banned at construction sites from friday and the delhi Municipal Corporation will inspect and take action if found violating the ban.

Ban on use of drinking water at car-service centers

He said that similarly the government is banning the use of drinking water at car wash and car-service centers. The team of delhi Pollution Control Committee will inspect these centers and if they are found violating the ban, they will be sealed. He requested people to use water wisely.

The delhi government has held an emergency meeting regarding the water crisis in the city amid scorching heat. Due to the unprecedented heat, there is a shortage of water in the capital. The temperature has been recorded around 50 degrees in different parts of the city. (With PTI input)
