KARTHI’S SARDAR 2 IS COMING — AND HE’S PROMISING AN INTERNATIONAL-LEVEL SPY THRILLER WITH A LOCAL HEART!
The countdown has begun, and Karthi is clearly not playing it safe with Sardar 2. The much-awaited sequel to Sardar is scheduled to hit screens on September 10, and the makers are leaving no stone unturned to build momentum across the South. At the Telugu pre-release event, Karthi faced the fans alongside special guests Adivi Sesh, Boyapati Srinu and Mythri Ravi — and the evening delivered plenty of hype.
1. ADIVI SESH IS ALREADY SOLD: Adivi Sesh revealed that he is a huge fan of Sardar, having watched it in theatres, and said he plans to catch Sardar 2 on the first day. He also praised Karthi’s warm personality, calling him someone who makes people around him feel comfortable.
2. BOYAPATI SRINU BACKS KARTHI: Boyapati spoke warmly about his association with both Suriya and Karthi, praising their discipline and commitment to their craft. He also recalled enjoying Sardar and its story, making it clear that the sequel has his attention.
3. KARTHI DROPS THE BIG PROMISE: The biggest takeaway came from Karthi himself. Describing Sardar 2 as an “international-level spy thriller with a local heart,” he stressed that PS Mithran’s script is completely different from the first film.
4. SJ SURYAH’S PERFORMANCE COULD BE A GAME-CHANGER: Karthi called working with SJ Suryah a memorable experience, particularly praising his energy and performance.
5. MALAVIKA AND ASHIKA MATTER: Karthi also revealed that the characters played by Malavika Mohanan and Ashika Ranganath will have important roles in the film.
