At the same time, an alert of severe heatwave has been issued in Barmer, Bikaner, Churu, Hanumangarh, Jaisalmer, Jalore, Nagaur, Pali, Sriganganagar.

Health Department on alert mode

In view of the heatwave in the state, the Medical and health Department has made strict arrangements. Additional Chief Secretary Shubhra Singh said that dedicated heat stroke wards have been created in medical institutions for the treatment of patients affected by heatwave and beds have also been reserved for them. Control rooms are being operated at the state and district level. Other necessary treatment facilities including air condition and ice packs have been arranged in the ambulance. Medical staff has been trained from time to time and mock drills have been conducted.
