Haryana police has registered an FIR against 17 people in the case of attack on the convoy of bjp candidate from Sirsa seat, ashok Tanwar. The incident took place in a village in Sirsa district on Sunday, when a group of farmers were waving black flags and raising slogans against the bjp candidate. police said some protesters allegedly attacked ashok Tanwar's convoy with sticks and blocked the road for some time.

Inspector Dinesh Kumar, in-charge of Rania police station, said that a case has been registered against 17 people, but no one has been arrested. When asked to comment on the incident, chief minister Nayab Singh saini said in Kurukshetra that it was unfortunate. In a democratic system, if anyone has to say anything, it can be said through democratic means.

On the confrontation with bjp leaders over various demands from farmers, cm saini said that the government has repeatedly said that it is ready for talks, but if such things are repeated, it weakens democracy.

What did Bhupendra Singh Hooda say?

While answering questions on the incident, opposition leader Bhupendra Singh Hooda said that no one should be stopped from entering the villages. They should be stopped from entering parliament and assembly with the power of their vote, he said in Rohtak. Last week, the convoy of JJP mla and hisar Lok Sabha candidate naina Chautala was also allegedly attacked by some people in Roz Kheda village of Jind district. Six people were injured in the incident.
