No coordination visible in Rahul-Akhilesh's rally in UP?

Congress leader Rahul gandhi and Samajwadi party chief akhilesh yadav came together for the joint rally of india Block on Friday, but lack of coordination was visible. This appeared to be a strange alliance forced by circumstances. Both the leaders sat together on the stage in Kannauj on Friday, but were looking in opposite directions. There was no harmony of thoughts in his speeches. akhilesh yadav talked about his relations with Kannauj and mainly urged him to vote for himself. He told that when he vacated the Chief Minister's residence, it was washed with 'Ganga water', he was personally insulted. But did not talk about national issues.

On the other hand, Rahul gandhi talked about the government's failure to deal with inflation, unemployment and other issues. At the end of his speech, he definitely appealed to make akhilesh yadav win in Kannauj. However, Samajwadi party sources have confirmed that akhilesh yadav has no campaign program in Amethi or Rae Bareli, where the reputation of the gandhi family is at stake. Sources claimed that the opposition felt the need to show cordial relations at least once in the middle of the elections, hence the rally was held. It is noteworthy that relations between Rahul gandhi and akhilesh yadav have never been cordial. However, both sides always maintained scope for negotiation.

Samajwadi party has always avoided fielding candidates in Amethi and Rae Bareli. congress has silently accepted his favour. Both the leaders came together for the UP assembly elections in 2017 on the persuasion of election strategist prashant Kishore. It is clear that Akhilesh feels that a long-term alliance with the congress is harmful for his party. In fact, the vote bank of Samajwadi party and Bahujan Samaj party was once the base of Congress. In the early nineties, when the wave of ayodhya movement and Mandal politics swept across the country, the Samajwadi party snatched away Muslim votes from the congress, while the BSP won the Dalits into its fold.
