The people of telangana are all set to vote once again within five months. This time lok sabha members will be elected. Polling for the lok sabha elections will be held on May 13. CEO Vikas raj announced that 525 candidates are contesting in this election and 285 candidates are contesting as independents. A maximum of 45 candidates are in the fray from the secunderabad parliamentary seat. At least 12 people are contesting for the adilabad seat.

Distribution of voter slips has already started across Telangana. 3986 polling booths have been set up in hyderabad for lok sabha elections. In some areas, 2-3 ballots are used. 3 out of 7 seats will have to use EVMs as there are more candidates. They are bringing additional EVMs after talking to the ec for the elections. The process of printing postal ballots has already started in the districts. CEO Vikas raj announced that home voting will start on May 3.                                           

Elderly, disabled, chronically ill, bedridden, and mentally ill people have been given the flexibility to exercise their right to vote. election officials along with staff go to the homes of the voters who have applied for this system take the direct boxes, polling sticks, and ballot papers, and cast their votes secretly. According to ec calculations, there are 4.87 lakh voters above 80 years of age in Telangana. Officials will go to the the  house and vote. Just like when you come to the polling center and vote, there is secret voting, even when you vote from home, the authorities take all measures so that no one can know who the voter is voting for.

Vote from home facility has been provided in karnataka as well as telangana assembly elections. For the first time in the lok sabha elections, Vote from home has made available the facility of voting from home. The ec recently said that 88.4 lakh voters in the country have more than 40 percent disability. It is said that there are 82 lakh elderly people who are above the age of 85 years. The election commission of india has already announced that 2.18 lakh people are above 100 years of age.
