Voting for the 2nd phase of election phase to elect the prime minister of india began this morning. elections are held for 88 lok sabha constituencies in 13 states.

 Second phase election

The largest democratic festival in the world is the indian election.In india with a population of about 120 crores, elections are conducted democratically. Voting will be held in 7 phases across india in this election which will be held for about two and a half months. The first phase of polling was held for 102 constituencies in 21 states including tamil Nadu. While this election was held peacefully, the second voting phase is happening today.

15.88 people are eligible to vote

Elections are being held today in major states including kerala and Karnataka. Voting started today at 7 am and will continue till 6 pm. Voting is taking place in 88 lok sabha constituencies under 13 states. A total of 1202 candidates are contesting in 88 constituencies. Out of which 1098 are male and 102 are female candidates. 15.88 crore candidates have qualified in today's election. One lakh 67 thousand polling booths have been set up. Additional police have been deployed for security at the volatile polling station.

This election is an election in which important leaders will see the field. In that way, Wayanad, where former congress President rahul gandhi is contesting, congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal is contesting from Alappuzha, Sasidarur in kerala State, Union minister Rajeev chandrasekhar is contesting from thiruvananthapuram Constituency, lok sabha Speaker Ombirla is contesting from Kota Constituency in rajasthan State, Union minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is contesting from jodhpur Constituency in rajasthan State, Mandya is contesting from Bangalore suburb, former karnataka Chief minister Kumaraswamy, actress hema malini is contesting. mathura constituencies of Uttar Pradesh state are major constituencies.
