Voting Factors, Past Results - All Information at a Glance…

Assam, one of India's most important northeastern states, has a total of 14 lok sabha seats, out of which Karimganj lok sabha seat is reserved for scheduled caste candidates. It is located in the southernmost tip of assam, since 1952 elections have been held in this constituency. 2019 statistics say that 13 lakh 38 thousand 5 people participated in voting in this constituency. Currently Kripanath Malla of bharatiya janata party is the mp from this centre. This time too he is the candidate of BJP. On the other hand, Hafiz Rashid ahmed Chowdhury is fighting for Congress. Sahabul islam Chowdhury is contesting for AIDUF. The bjp candidate is ahead of the two candidates in terms of margin and weight. But in the final judgment, whether the minority vote bank goes completely towards an AJP candidate can also be a big factor in this vote.

Karimganj lok sabha Constituency consists of a total of eight assembly constituencies. The assembly constituencies are Ratabari, Patharkandi, Karimganj North, Karimganj South, Badarpur, Hailakandi, Katlichhra, Algapur. Of these, the Ratabari center is reserved for Scheduled Castes. The Ahmia-Bengali conflict has long been an important issue in the political sphere of assam state. In the first election of 1962, indian National Congress's Niharranjan Lashkar won. The next three elections i.e. 1967, 1971 and 1977 were also won by Niharranjan Lashkar on behalf of the National Congress. In 1984, sudarshan Das won this seat from the Bharatiya congress (Socialist) Party. In 1991, Dwarkanath Das of the bharatiya janata party was elected to parliament from this center in the north-eastern state of india under the influence of the ram Janmabhoomi movement in 1991. In 1996, Dwarkanath Das again won this seat from the BJP. nepal Chandra Das of the indian national congress wrested this seat from the bjp once again in the 1998 lok sabha elections. He defeated the bjp candidate by 10468 votes.

In terms of lok sabha and assembly elections, the Center is dominated by three parties, the National congress, the bjp and the United Democratic Front. Even though the bjp won the lok sabha elections, the results of the combined democratic stage of the region in the assembly elections are quite good. But now congress is fighting with weaker power than before.
