DC Gurugram's order, license holders should deposit weapons...


Under the lok sabha elections 2024, the code of conduct is applicable in all the districts of haryana including Gurugram. In view of the safety of the people, the district administration has also imposed Section 144 in the district since march 16. Licensed weapon holders have been asked to deposit it at their police station or nearby gun shop as soon as possible. In fact, after the implementation of the lok sabha election Code of Conduct, no person can possess any kind of weapon. These orders will remain in force till the completion of the lok sabha elections. According to the instructions of DC Gurugram, all the licensed weapon holders of the district are required to deposit their weapons in the respective police stations.


Gurugram DC Nishant Kumar Yadav said that if any person is found carrying any type of weapon, he will be considered dangerous to the general public. Also, it will be considered a crime. No person in the district can keep with him any firearm, spear, spear, knife, stick, bicycle chain, or any kind of thing which can be used as a weapon. Those who violate this order will be considered criminals and punished under section 144.


Only they are allowed to possess weapons


According to the orders of DC, under Section 144 of the indian Panel Code 1973, these orders have been issued keeping in mind the safety of the people during the election process. According to these orders, only policemen and government employees on duty are allowed to possess weapons.


Voting will be held on 25th May

People will cast their votes for the lok sabha elections in Gurugram, Rewari, and Mewat regions in the sixth phase i.e. on 25 May 2024. Voting will be held in all other lok sabha constituencies of haryana on the same day. 24 lakh 94 thousand 44 voters of Gurugram Rewari and Mewat region will vote in the lok sabha elections.
