MP HC reprimands govt, warns of declaring economic emergency…

The division bench of gwalior bench of madhya pradesh high court comprising Justice Rohit arya and Justice rk Wani has warned the state government to declare an economic emergency. The high court has expressed strong displeasure and warned over the delay in allocating a fund of only Rs 2 crore for installing mesh on both sides of the Swarn rekha river in Gwalior.

In fact, in the year 2019, Advocate vishwajeet Ratonian filed a PIL demanding the revival of Gwalior's Swarn rekha river. During the hearing on the same PIL, the Division Bench of Justice Rohit arya and Justice rk Wani expressed its displeasure and told Additional Advocate General Ankur Modi, "Crores of rupees are being wasted here and there and Rs 2 crore is not there, you have that fake money." Let it be implemented and be useful to the general public. There are thousands of crores of rupees to be distributed."

The court further said that what could be a bigger irony than this? More than this is spent in a general meeting. When the government does not have the money to provide basic facilities to the people, then why should the courts pass so many orders? Tell them that we have nothing, whatever we have, we have distributed it to the children, now they are just running the government somehow.

Gave assurance that the work of installing the mesh would be done soon.

Gwalior Bench further said that if you say that there is no money, then after listening to everyone, we will give this order that there is a situation of financial emergency in the state, but we will be able to do this only after listening to everyone. After the High Court's rebuke, Municipal Commissioner Harsh Singh assured the court that the corporation had taken the work of installing the mesh into its own hands. It will be completed soon. The next hearing of the case will now be on april 12.
