CAA: Is Sangh ready to abandon it: Pinarayi Vijayan..?


kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said on monday (25 March) that the slogans of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and 'Jai Hind' were first raised by two Muslims and in such a situation, is the Sangh Parivar ready to abandon these slogans.

Senior communist party of india (Marxist) leader Vijayan said in Malappuram, a Muslim-dominated district of North kerala, that Muslim rulers, cultural heroes ,and officials have played an important role in the country's history and freedom movement.

Azimullah Khan gave the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai – Pinarayi Vijayan

Giving an example, Vijayan said that a Muslim man named Azimullah Khan had given the slogan of 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. The chief minister said, “Some leaders of the Sangh Parivar who came here asked the people sitting in front of them to raise the slogan of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’. Who gave this slogan? I don't know whether the Sangh Parivar is aware that the name of that person was Azimullah Khan. He sarcastically said that it is not known whether the people of Sangh Parivar will stop using this slogan or not because this slogan was raised by a Muslim.


Abid Hasan had raised the slogan of 'Jai Hind' - kerala CM

Vijayan was addressing the fourth consecutive rally organized by the CPI(M) in the state against the controversial Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA). He said that an old diplomat named Abid Hasan was the first to raise the slogan of ‘Jai Hind. According to Vijayan, more than 50 Upanishads were translated into Persian from the original sanskrit text by Dara Shikoh, son of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, which helped spread indian texts around the world.
