bharatiya janata party (BJP) has released another list for the lok sabha elections on Saturday. This time bjp has announced the names of 111 candidates, and the names of 13 candidates from Uttar Pradesh have been announced. In this list, bjp has now fielded another candidate in place of its Barabanki candidate. bjp candidate from Barabanki parliamentary constituency upendra Singh Rawat had announced not to contest the upcoming lok sabha elections after the alleged obscene video went viral. He had announced this on social media platform X. Along with this, upendra Rawat had also said that he would not contest any election in public life until proven innocent.


upendra Singh Rawat is currently the bjp mp from Barabanki seat and he was again made the party's candidate from here. But now in his place, bjp has expressed confidence in Rajrani Rawat.

Announcing that he would not contest the elections, upendra Singh Rawat wrote on his social media, "An edited video of mine is being made viral, which is generated by deep fake AI technology, for which I have lodged an FIR. In this regard, have Party's national president jp nadda has been requested to get this investigated. I will not contest any election in public life until I am proven innocent.

Recently, upendra Rawat's name was also included in the first list of 195 candidates released by bjp for the lok sabha elections. The party had announced to make him its candidate from Barabanki. But a day after the name was announced, an allegedly obscene video of him went viral on social media, after which he was embroiled in controversy. At the same time, mp representative Dinesh Chandra Rawat had also complained to the police regarding this alleged obscene video. At present, the police are investigating the matter.
