lok sabha elections will be held in himachal pradesh in the seventh and last phase. Voting is to be held in the state on june 1. The results will come on june 4. Before this, along with the State election Commission, the administrative staff of the state is also busy preparing for the lok sabha elections. himachal pradesh Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena took a review meeting of administrative secretaries to review the electoral preparations for the lok sabha elections in the presence of Chief Electoral Officer manish Garg. Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena also issued guidelines for the closure of data-border areas with neighboring states and strict surveillance to prevent illegal use of liquor and other intoxicants. The Chief Secretary directed the health Department to issue notification of cashless treatment facility to polling personnel and security forces.


The Social Justice and Empowerment Department was asked to make arrangements for wheelchairs at every polling station to assist the disabled and elderly voters. Also, it was asked to ensure the arrangement of volunteers and to ensure enrollment of disabled voters who were left out of enrollment in the voter list.


Instructions for depositing weapons

Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena has instructed all the departments to perform their assigned roles honestly. Himachal police Director General has been asked to ensure 100% deposit of licensed weapons and disposal of pending non-bailable warrants. Let us tell you that during the election code of conduct, all the licensed gun owners have to deposit their weapons in the nearest police station. The meeting also asked all departments to ensure that their buildings used as polling stations are well maintained. It has also been asked to provide all the facilities in the polling booth.
