The central bjp government has been kept silent on two issues today

The Union Ministry of Electronics and Information technology brought some amendments in the IT Rules. This allowed the government to set up a committee to verify the veracity of the news published in the social and news media.

A case was filed in the bombay high court challenging the amendment brought by the central government in the Information technology Rules. During the hearing of the case, the bombay high court questioned the powers given to the panel in the amendment brought by the Centre. Also, the judges questioned why there is a separate fact-finding committee when the central government has a press Information Bureau.

The case was transferred to a third judge after two judges gave a different verdict. The bombay high court ruled in the case and refused to stay the implementation of the IT Rules 2023.

Against this, a petition was filed in the supreme Court. The supreme court heard the case and ordered a ban on the notification of setting up FactCheck Unit of the Central Government. Further, the ban will remain in place until the bombay high court takes a decision in the case against the Information technology Amendment Act, 2023, the order said.

Likewise, the election commission has directed the central government to send Vixit Bharat messages. prime minister Modi is constantly talking about a developed India. Meanwhile, text messages are being sent in the name of Viksit Bharat. These text messages are being sent under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. letters are being sent from prime minister Modi in the name of india developed on social networking sites including WhatsApp.

As the date for the lok sabha elections has been announced across the country, the rules of conduct are in force. Complaints were lodged with the election commission against the sending of text messages in the name of 'Developed Bharat' while the election rules were in force.

In this situation, the election commission has directed the Ministry of Electronics and Information technology to immediately stop sending Vixit Bharat messages through WhatsApp. The action was taken following a complaint that news about government schemes was being shared while the election rules were in force
