According to sources lok sabha elections have been announced in the country. lok sabha elections are to be held in himachal pradesh in the last and seventh phase. By-elections are to be held in six assembly constituencies along with four lok sabha seats. bharatiya janata party has fielded Union minister anurag thakur from hamirpur and suresh Kashyap from shimla as its candidates. At the same time, congress has not been able to announce the name of its candidate on even a single seat so far.

Perhaps there is talk of Ramlal Thakur once again contesting elections from hamirpur, the hot seat of anurag thakur in Himachal Pradesh. Ramlal Thakur himself has clarified about the discussions about contesting elections. Ramlal Thakur had been the Forest minister in the then Virbhadra government. In the year 2019, despite being an MLA, he contested the elections against anurag thakur, but he had to data-face defeat.

Furthermore while talking to the media in shimla, senior congress leader and former minister Thakur ram Lal has said that soon the party's candidates for all four lok sabha seats of the state will be declared in the Central election Committee meeting. He said that congress is completely united and will hoist the flag of victory on all four lok sabha seats of the state. Former Forest minister Thakur ram Lal said that the case of six rebel MLAs is pending in the supreme court of the country. However, the election commission has announced the by-election. Only after the final decision comes from the court, anything can be said about the party candidates and elections in these six assembly constituencies. He said that congress is fully prepared for the by-elections along with the lok sabha elections.
