Important meeting regarding elections, guidelines for candidates..?

A meeting of officials regarding the lok sabha elections was held in Cyber City Gurugram adjacent to Delhi. In the meeting, it has been decided to deposit security in lok sabha elections through cash or treasury and to allow four people to accompany the candidate filing nomination. district Election Officer and DC of Gurugram Nishant Kumar Yadav said that it will be mandatory for the candidates to follow the guidelines of the election commission of india for the upcoming lok sabha general elections.

The district Election Officer said that the security deposit for the lok sabha general elections will be Rs 25 thousand. For candidates on seats reserved for Scheduled Castes and Tribes, this amount will be Rs 12,500. The security deposit to be made by the candidate will be acceptable through cash or treasury only. This amount will not be accepted through check or demand draft.

Will be allowed to bring four people

Giving detailed information on the nomination process, DC Nishant Kumar Yadav said that after the announcement of the general elections, the information about the last date of filing nomination papers, place, time, scrutiny of nomination papers, date of withdrawal of letters etc. will be made public and notices will be published in government offices. Besides, information should also be given as to which AROs will accept the nomination papers in place of RO.

Along with this, Returning Officer and DC of Gurugram Nishant Kumar Yadav said that during the nomination process, candidates will be allowed to bring a maximum of 4 people with them to the office of Returning Officer (RO), Assistant Returning Officer (ARO). Also, maximum 3 vehicles will be allowed within the radius of 100 meters of RO and ARO office.
