As per report from sources a police constable was stabbed to death during a clash between two parties in Sirohi district of Rajasthan. police said that the duty of constable Niranjan Singh posted at Sarupganj police station was at the Shivratri fair being organized in Lautana village on friday (8 March) night. He told that there was a clash between two parties in the fair and the constable intervened. Meanwhile, someone attacked Singh with a knife on his neck, due to which he died. police said that the accused fled after the incident, they are being searched and the body has been kept in the district hospital for post-mortem.

Meanwhile chief minister Bhajanlal Sharma and former chief minister Ashok Gehlot have expressed grief over the incident. rajasthan cm Bhajanlal Sharma posted on the social media platform My condolences are with the bereaved family. Former chief minister Ashok Gehlot said in the post, “Respectful tribute to constable Niranjan Singh who was martyred in Sarupganj, Sirohi while performing his duty. Our sympathies are with his family in this hour of grief. The state government should arrest the killers of Niranjan Singh and ensure strictest action.

Moreover a fair was organized on the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri in Lautana village of Sarupganj police station of Sirohi district of Rajasthan. There was a large crowd of shiva devotees in the fair. After worshiping, people went to visit the fair. During this time there was a clash between the two parties. The constable on duty at the fair intervened. Then someone attacked the constable with a knife on his neck, due to which he died. The police is investigating the matter. police say that the accused will be caught immediately and action will be taken.
